The church was first mentioned in 1542. The present church was built in the middle or in the second half of the 17th century. Initially, the church had a high-rise, flat ceiling, a lower bell tower and a low rectangular presbytery. A

 

The church has been repaired several times. During the Second World War, the parts of the parish chronicle disappeared containing a description of repairs and renovations, as well as information about the paintings. These interventions were carried out in a year or a little prior to 1930. At that time, the church was also blessed.
